I have worked in Vegas as a makeup artist for a modeling agency doing runway & photo shoot make up as well as a commercial & some promo videos but I never knew what to charge. The rates were already set up for me & I just wanted to get an idea for what to charge in the future since I recently relocated to Portland & am looking into doing my makeup out here as well. I do wedding makeup also, but I was just getting into it so I didn't charge very much when I did it. I would also like to know if there is an industry standard rate so as to not low-ball all the other makeup artists who have established a minimum rate for the industry. Any info will be greatly appreciated!
